Write an .img File to a USB Drive

Overview

 This copies a .img (Raspberry Pi image) to a the USB flash drive at /dev/mmcblk0 on the filesystem.

roberto@linux-box:~$ sudo dd if=world/distribute/ISOs/Raspbian/2015-02-16-raspbian-wheezy.img of=/dev/mmcblk0
            

There is parameter to specify the block size:

sudo dd bs=4M if=/home/roberto/World/ISOs/2014-01-07-wheezy-raspbian.img of=/dev/mmcblk0
