Overview

 This guide reviews steps to get started with automated builds for Android projects. The goal is to generate an APK deliverable from a continuous integration environment.

Getting Started - Android SDK for Automated Builds

• Download just the command line tools here
  • Adroid Studio
    • Look for the section titled 'Command line tools only'
    • Download the .zip file and extract it to the local filesystem
• Run these commands to get the adb tool and other required tools for building Android application
  • cd [unzip-location]/sdk-tools-linux-4333796/tools/bin
  • sdkmanager "platform-tools" "platforms;android-28"
